JOB TITLE:
Freelance Project Architect
DAYS/ HOURS:

Remote working with site visits to project sites.

We are looking for an exceptional freelance project architect to help design and deliver beautiful home refurbishment projects.
The candidate must have at least five year’s practical experience working in London residential projects with a proven track record of designing and drawing from concept design, planning drawings, tender documents, and on-site information. This role is for you if you have been trained as an architect but have developed deeper interest in a crafted interior space.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Produce feasibility studies for the studio’s design projects that include planning study, layout options, and project cost estimates.
Produce planning drawings with pre-application consultation if necessary
Produce tender documents that include technical drawings and schedules for buildings as well as kitchens, bathrooms, and bespoke joinery
Provide buildable site solutions during RIBA stage 5
Check that thorough administrative records are being maintained

SKILLS REQUIRED
Practical knowledge on the UK Building Regulations, planning requirements and technical standards in residential projects
Extremely proficient in AutoCAD a must, Sketchup or other 3D software
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
Skills to produce well-thought out space layouts with creative flair
Excellent time management a must
Fluent in English, including excellent written and communication skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
5+ years experience working as an Architect (RIBA Part II at least) in UK residential projects
Experience in designing and drawing from feasibility study, concept design, planning drawings, tender documents, construction sets and on-site information
Experience in working remotely with a close-knit design team
Practical site experience to find buildable design solutions

Part-Time Design Intern

We are looking for a Design Intern for Spring 2024.
A design internship at Yoko Kloeden Design provides interior design students an opportunity to contribute and develop their skills in an engaging and creative environment. Interns will receive exposure to the design and construction process through direct involvement with the studio’s Design Team.
The is a part-time remote internship position, which could lead to a part-time or full-time position upon graduation. You will develop good knowledge of day-to-day running of residential interior design projects and it is an excellent opportunity to start the career in the industry.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Order material samples for the studio’s design projects
Assist the Design Team to produce client presentation and project deliverables
Keep track of FF&E (furniture, fixtures and equipment) deliveries as required
Assist the team in communicating with suppliers, contractors and trades throughout building projects
Provide administrative support to the Design Team and Marketing Team
Complete work assignments with a high degree of quality and timely reporting to Senior Designer and Creative Director
Assist the studio’s marketing activities as required

SKILLS REQUIRED
