Design Intern

A design internship at Yoko Kloeden Design provides interior design students an opportunity to contribute and develop their skills in an engaging and creative environment. Interns will receive exposure to the design and construction process through direct involvement with the studio’s Design Team.

The is a part-time remote internship position, which could lead to a part-time or full-time position upon graduation. You will develop good knowledge of day-to-day running of residential interior design projects and it is an excellent opportunity to start the career in the industry.

Job Description

• Order material samples for the studio’s design projects

• Assist the Design Team to produce client presentation and project deliverables

• Keep track of FF&E (furniture, fixtures and equipment) deliveries as required

• Assist the team in communicating with suppliers, contractors and trades throughout building projects

• Provide administrative support to the Design Team and Marketing Team

• Complete work assignments with a high degree of quality and timely reporting to Senior Designer and Creative Director

• Assist the studio’s marketing activities as required

Skills Required

• Good knowledge of image and video editing preferred

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite

• Excellent time management a must

• Fluent in English, including excellent written and communication skills

Education And Experience

Minimum second year enrolment in an accredited Interior Design or Interior Architecture programme
